About the Opportunity
Continuing demand for the kinds of services that we provide has resulted in immediate openings for 1-2 junior and intermediate civil E.I.T.’s to perform and manage various geotechnical engineering, heavy civil construction and environmental projects.
Working as a geotechnical engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Field inspection and surveying;
- Directing field programs (e.g. coordinating drilling programs, foundation reviews and inspections, site monitoring, soil and water sampling, etc.);
- The design of roads & highways, site grading & drainage;
- The use of computer design tools;
- Perform various levels of project management;
- Preparation of proposals;
- Report writing.
Candidates must be willing to work in a team environment and would be expected to assist in the mentoring of junior staff, as experience would dictate.
Consideration will be given to applicants with a post-secondary education in engineering (i.e. civil, environmental, geological), environmental sciences or a related discipline who have 0-2 year’s experience. Individuals should be able to register with Association of Professional Engineers Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA). We are looking for individuals with integrity and dedication. Applicants should have strong computer skills and valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
